Water Hygiene
Treatment Services
Healthy and Compliant
Water Hygiene Treatment
We have been delivering water hygiene treatment
services for many years. We continually strive to appraise and improve our
performance and, where appropriate, secure efficiencies without compromising on
quality standards.
We recognise that investment in the Continued Professional Development of
our staff is paramount to our success.
We aim to provide our customers with the peace of
mind that they are complying with all statutory regulations in: protecting the
environment; caring for the health and safety of employees and the communities
in which we live.
Health & Safety
at Work Regulations
The Management of Health & Safety at Work
Regulations 1999 imposes a duty on every employer to make a suitable and
sufficient assessment of:
1. the
risks to the health and safety of their employees to which they are exposed
whilst they are at work, and...
2.
the risks to the health and safety of persons
not in their employment arising out of or in connection with the conduct by the
employer of their undertaking.
The Corporate Manslaughter and
Corporate Homicide Act 2007 places a much greater responsibility and business
risk on organisations in terms of the consequences of health and safety
compliance failure.
Every
building with 5 or more employees must have a water hygiene risk assessment –
these must be carried out every two years. They are ‘live’ documents that must
be up to date in recording relevant changes.
As an employer or a person in control of the
premises (e.g. a landlord), you must:
·
Prepare, implement and manage a scheme for
preventing or controlling risk – appointing a person to be responsible (to be
referred to as the ‘responsible person’).
·
If appropriate, notify the local authority that
you have a cooling tower(s) on site.
Code of Practice /
Compliance and the Law
A code of
practice is not in itself ‘the law’ and following the guidance is not
compulsory, unless stated, and you are free to take other action. However, if
you do follow guidance you will normally be doing enough to comply with the
law. Health & Safety inspectors seek to secure compliance with the law and
may refer to this guidance. Each of these regulations is
accompanied
by an approved code of practice (‘ACOP’) which gives guidance on how compliance
with the regulations can be achieved.
Regulatory
compliance describes the goal that organisations aspire to achieve in
their efforts to ensure that they are aware of and take steps to comply with
relevant laws and regulations.
Water Hygiene Products & Services
Cleanliness, water quality and
microbiological protection are essential factors in the safe operation of
engineered water systems.

but also utilises innovative ‘Continuous Control Systems’.
All our systems and practices
are designed to meet specific site requirements for the full range of
commercial, industrial, leisure and healthcare premises. All of our working
methods and control systems fully comply with current codes of practice and

Pre-Commission
Flushing
·
Jasun Envirocare carries out all works on new
systems in accordance with BSRIA BG 29 2012. Flushing, Chemical Cleaning and
system stabilisation is required for heating, chilled and condenser circuits.
The chemicals used are the most effective available and have been in practical
use in these types of systems for some years.
·
When existing systems are found to be fouled by
corrosion, scale or debris resulting from lack of or incorrect treatment, we
offer an on-line cleaning programme. It is the company policy to use
non-aggressive chemical cleaning technology in conjunction with the flushing
and inhibiting procedures used in pre-commissioning cleaning
De-scaling
Works
·
De-scaling of water systems such as boilers,
calorifiers and water heaters is sometimes required. In most cases we use a
chemical dosing rig that is fitted to the flow and return pipe work to ensure
acid is circulated throughout the system and that all scale is removed.
